This lecture explains the role of data science in business. It will introduce real-life examples, such as an examination of data-based marketing methods at Tsukuba-san Edoya, a regional company and ryokan, and an AI-based sales support trial at Mito Shinkin Bank, a non-profit regional financial institution, to explain experimental evidence-based management and upgrading business management systems through innovations in management information systems.
