Formerly a JSPS Research Fellow (PD), lecturer at the Graduate School of Systems and Information Engineering, University of Tsukuba, and visiting lecturer at the Department of Scarborough Human Geography, University of Toronto, before assuming her current position. PhD (Engineering). Specialised in urban planning, town planning and living environment development. Author of Compact Cities Around the World: How and Why Cities Shrink Wisely, Neoliberal Cities and Social Inequalities, etc.
