For those of you in the School of Arts and Design, data science may be a field that you are not familiar with, or would rather have avoided. The mere mention of computer-based analysis can make you distance yourself from it.
However, you live with a smartphone in your hand as much as a pencil, and you use a small computer every day. It should be a familiar tool, right? Therefore, in this lecture, I will explain the points of contact and the way of thinking about data science for you in the School of Arts and Design.

After working as a car designer at Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, I started LOGOSWARE Corporation, an E-learning system development company, while I was a graduate student at Tsukuba University. At LOGOSWARE, I develop tools and provide consulting services for communication on the Internet.
Currently, while conducting research and development of online seminar systems for education and corporate seminars, I am also an Associate Professor of Art at the University of Tsukuba, where I am in charge of teaching in the area of information and product design, from the standpoint of research on the theme of communication.
