He worked as Professor in the department of literature, University of the Ryukyus. He has been as Professor in the philosophy graduate school, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Tsukuba. Ph.D. (Letters). His field of expertise are Chinese Philosophy, Exchange of Ideas between East and West.
