He specializes in the history of physical education and sport. Subjects of his research are as follows : 1) pedagogical thought of Pierre de Coubertin, founder of the modern Olympic Games, 2) historical relationship between Japanese olympic movement and Coubertin, and 3) history of sport in France. He gives lectures on the Olympic philosophy (Olympism) and its history to university and high school students, athletes who participated in the Olympic or Paralympic Games, teachers and common people.
